Lexington Farmers Market Hosting Farm Tour

The Lexington Farmers Market, Kentucky’s largest, will be having its first Annual Farm Tour on Saturday, June 21st, from 8am to 2pm. Farms will open their doors to the public for this interesting look into how local food groups are grown.

The demand for the diversity of Kentucky Proud farm fresh products has grown across the Commonwealth in the last several years, but getting products from the farm to the markets has remained a challenge for many small farmers.

The Kentucky Center for Agriculture and Rural Development is funded by the USDA Rural Business-Cooperative Service and the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board and receives in-kind contributions from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and University of Kentucky.
